About Interim Heads

Interim Heads Ltd is a growing team of professional associates who specialize in serving as Interim Headteachers of Primary Schools in the North West of England. We currently aim to reach areas in Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire listed opposite.

Our mission is to develop a regional service of interim management and leadership support to schools based on authentic partnership with governing bodies and local authorities and aiming to make a vital contribution to short and medium term school improvement and sustainability. Interim Heads can be agents of stability or agents of change, depending on the need of the school.

Local Partnerships add value by building on existing professional networks, trust and availability, and they can also save money by minimizing accommodation and travel costs which interim managers operating nationally typically charge to the school.

Our People are all highly qualified Headteachers with good track records as established Heads of at least 5 years standing, recent headship experience and ongoing continuing professional development. Some are recently retired Heads with substantial experience who can offer flexible part-time cover. Others are mid-career educationists for whom interim management is a vital part of their wider consultancy and training portfolio.

All associates are results-orientated, focused on the school's agenda and embody the national standards for headteachers, able to deploy a versatile range of leadership styles and management skills to help take pupils, staff and governors forward quickly with minimum disruption when key leadership positions are empty.
