We take you through the whole process of recruiting an Interim Head, from informal enquiry and analysis of needs ... to finding the right candidate ... to monitoring the progress and successful completion of the interim assignment.
Always taking a client-centred approach to interim management we have developed a Scoping Framework to help you determine the most appropriate level and form of engagement for you, whether your priority is short term stability over 1-2 terms, medium term capacity building over 2-3 terms or fixed term turnaround interventions 2-3 years.
1. Enquiry. First we discuss your needs informally and advise you whether interim management is the most appropriate solution. Either ring 07761247340 or provide your contact details on the form opposite if you would like us to approach you. We are more than happy to meet you in person for a confidential discussion.
2. Candidates. We provide a shortlist of potential candidates, supplying their names and CVs, and following a strict Screening & Quality Assurance procedure to judge their suitability.
3. Selection. You select your preferred candidate and arrange for a scoping meeting/interview in order for you to assure yourselves of the right candidate and discuss the particular context and priorities of the assignment. We always recommend that a Local Authority officer is present to advise this meeting as a key stakeholder in the interim partnership.
4. Partnership. We arrange for contracts to be drawn up according to agreed objectives, targets and terms. We are contracted to you, the associate is contracted to us.
5. Payment. We invoice you on a monthly basis and the associate invoices us in line with the agreed day rate. This means you do not have to cover NI Contributions, Pension payments, sick pay or holiday pay.
6. Monitoring. In order to ensure a successful interim assignment a consultant will monitor progress in dialogue with the school and complete a performance evaluation.
7. Renewal. You may want to flexibly extend the interim assignment with your Interim Head which can often be negotiated.
